Cockfighting Easy-to-Understand Basics
The following points are useful for anyone watching cockfights for the first time or wanting to build a better understanding.
Rooster Selection
Both roosters are inspected closely before a match begins. You can observe their body posture, legs, and facial features to form a read on them. A rooster with bright, clear eyes is generally expected to be highly active.
Match Rounds and Time Limits
Each cockfight has a set round time, and a winner must be decided within that round. If time runs out, the fight is ruled a Draw. Players who bet on the Draw receive a higher payout.
How to Read Decimal Odds
If Meron (Red) Odds are 1.85, a 1,000 Ks bet pays out 1,850 Ks (your 1,000 Ks back plus 850 Ks profit). You can easily understand how to read odds through 22mmr22's Live Odds visual guide.
Types of Competitions
22mmr22 offers several types of matches: Sabong bouts listed fight by fight (Philippine style), local festival events, and regular daily matches.
